Our Hosts

This year our members gathered at the beautifully decorated home of Pat and Max vom Steeg for our annual holiday tasting of sparkling wines and hors d’ouvres.

The wines were selected and served by Jackie and Frank Carson. They were excellent examples of European wines from other than Champagne.  There were two from France, one each from Germany and Spain, and two from Italy, the last one a Moscato D’Asti as a sweet finish.

Complementing the high quality of the wines were the great tastes in food that our members create.  They were very innovative, using a wide variety of vegetables, meats and cheeses in European style.

The winners were:

     First:          Jackie Carson

     Second:     Georgette Willoughby

     Third:        Bernd Mueller
