What Happened.........

Sixteen AWS members met for dinner at the American Harvest Restaurant and they enjoyed it very much.

After a complimentary amuse-bouche, a fried crabmeat filled wonton in a citric sauce, they dined on entrées such as Grilled Beef Filet, Pork Tenderloin prepared in a Mousse Wrap, and Prawns in a special butter sauce.

There was an Escargot Stuffed Artichoke in a Smoked Tomato Sauce as an appetizer.  And there were entrée accompaniments such as Potato Truffle Ravioli and Morel Mushroom Gnocchi.

They selected wines that included a Meritage, a Rhone style blend, and an L. Mawby sparkling wine.

The wine list is all American, not large, but very sufficient and well selected with reasonable pricing. It includes some Rieslings as well as the popular Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc wines.

This is an AWS wine event that - in case you missed it - you can do it anyway. The American Harvest Restaurant is open to the public and has a very good reputation. The menu changes every week or so.

Thanks to Jon and Joan Reed for arranging a very nice event.
