What Happened.........

Frank and Jackie Carson were the organizers for this tasting of a fine Bordeaux collection with expert Bernd Meuller contributing to the wine presentation. The wines were most impressive, as might be expected for this exceptional vintage, perhaps the greatest in nearly 20 years.

Wine scores were not collected, but there were many very high scores noted.  Judging of such wines is difficult, as one must anticipate the softening of the tannins and the mellowing that age provides, but there was no doubt that the 2000 vintage is well worth collecting.

Some very nice cheeses, St. Nectaire, Compte, and Brie, were served.

And we concluded with coffee and desserts.
