See below for what happened.........

The “All-American Picnic” on the Lake!

This year’s AWS picnic will be a traditional family-style pot luck, both with the food and the wine. Bring your favorite picnic dish to pass (sized for approximately 12 – 15 people) along with a wine that matches your dish. We will put up a tent card next to your dish with your name, the name of the dish, and the wine suggestion.

Come join in the fun as we close out our 2005 schedule.  Guests are welcome. Please send a note identifying who will be attending. Attendance will be limited to the first 45. Reservation deadline is September 6, 2005. Phone reservations will not be accepted.

Wine glasses, plates, and utensils will be provided. There is no charge for this picnic, just a dish and a bottle of wine. We will have a donation jar at the event for paper, plates, napkins, etc.

Attendees recognize they will consume alcohol and assume responsibility for having done so.

What Happened.........

It was a beautiful late summer day, as 29 people gathered on the grounds of Ken and Margaret Grezlik’s home on the lake.

The foods were all excellent and the chefs showed their superb skills in food and wine matching. Ken provided, as an added attraction, the good old American hotdog. Boat rides were enjoyed, along with much casual conversation, and a good time was had by all.
